Job summary

State of Michigan is seeking Department of State Aide staff to assist Detroit-area residents with reviewing requests, determining eligibility, and ensuring applications meet all requirements. You will handle a range of transactions, answer inquiries, and guide customers through available services and online options to complete tasks accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
• For Department of State Aide 7, one year of experience equivalent to a Department of State Aide 6.
• For Department of State Aide E8, two years of experience including one year at a Department State Aide 7.

Responsibilities

• Review requests and check eligibility for Michigan residents.
• Process a variety of transactions and answer questions.
• Help customers understand services and online options, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
