Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Startup Operations team member to lead new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and provide ongoing field support. Travel will be extensive (75-80%), with assignments nationwide for defined periods.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
• Two (2) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.
• One (1) year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required. advanced required.
• Logistics industry knowledge advanced required.
• Knowledge and understanding of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations. advanced required.
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components. intermediate required.
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production advanced required.

Responsibilities

• Start Up team focused on flawless execution and adherence to pre-established customer critical success factors.
• Ensuring both drivers and managers understand the core operations and systems used for tracking compliance, driver pay, and customer billing.
• Acting as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick decisions during the startup phase.
• Training of new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Building out of process flow and providing guidance on consistency of operations.
