Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Startup Operations professional to drive new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and support ongoing field operations. You will train drivers and managers, write process docs, and guide system testing during startup.

Travel will be extensive (75-80%), with relocation to a new business location for a period. You must be able to work under startup guidelines and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
• Two (2) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.
• One (1) year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required. advanced
• Logistics industry knowledge advanced required
• Knowledge and understanding of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations. advanced required
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components. intermediate required
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production advanced required

Responsibilities

• Startup team focused on flawless execution and adherence to pre-established customer critical success factors.
• Ensuring drivers and managers understand core operations and systems for tracking compliance, driver pay, and customer billing.
• Acting as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick decisions during the startup phase.
• Training of new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Building out of process flow and providing guidance on consistency of operations
