Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Startup Operations Lead to act as a setup consultant for new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and ongoing field support. You will train drivers and managers on system operations and help write process documents.

The role requires extensive travel (about 75-80%) to various locations nationwide, with short assignments away from home. You will collaborate with operations teams to ensure flawless startup execution and ongoing customer

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• 2+ years in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• 1+ year of direct supervisory/leadership experience.
• Advanced MS Office proficiency (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Access).
• Advanced logistics knowledge and understanding of regulations.
• Foundational knowledge of Supply Chain Management components.
• Strong manufacturing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Startup team focused on flawless execution and meeting customer critical success factors.
• Ensure drivers and managers understand core operations and tracking systems.
• Act as an extension of management to answer questions and decide quickly during startup.
• Train new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Build out process flows and guide on operational consistency.
