Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Startup Operations member to lead new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and provide ongoing support with field operations. You will train drivers, managers, and certify trainer groups while shaping process flow and system usage for compliance and billing.

Expect extensive travel (75–80%), assignment to new locations for defined periods, and the ability to work under startup guidelines. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED with a bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• 1+ year supervisory/leadership experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required (advanced).
• Knowledge of logistics industry and regulatory considerations (advanced).
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components (intermediate).
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production (advanced).

Responsibilities

• Startup team focused on flawless execution and adherence to customer success factors.
• Ensure drivers and managers understand core operations and tracking systems.
• Act as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick startup decisions.
• Train new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Build out process flow and provide guidance on consistency of operations.
