Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Startup Operations member to lead new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and provide ongoing field support. You will train drivers and managers on system operations and help write process documents.

This role requires traveling 75-80% to new business locations nationwide for defined durations, with a focus on flawless startup execution and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or a related field
• Direct supervisory/leadership experience required
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) advanced
• Logistics industry knowledge advanced
• Knowledge and understanding of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations advanced
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components intermediate
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production advanced

Responsibilities

• Startup team focused on flawless execution and adherence to pre-established customer critical success factors
• Ensuring both drivers and managers understand the core operations and systems used for tracking compliance, driver pay, and customer billing
• Acting as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick decisions during the startup phase
• Training of new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group
• Building out of process flow and providing guidance on consistency of operations
