Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Startup Operations professional for its SET Ops team. The role drives new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and ongoing field operations support, including driver and manager training and process documentation.

This position requires prioritizing work, managing day-to-day tasks, and contributing to system testing and design-level consulting for product enhancements. Travel is extensive, around 75–80%, with assignments nationwide for specific periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Two years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• One year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) required; advanced level.
• Logistics industry knowledge advanced.
• Knowledge and understanding of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations advanced.
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components intermediate.
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production advanced.

Responsibilities

• Startup team focused on flawless execution and adherence to pre-established customer critical success factors.
• Ensuring both drivers and managers understand the core operations and systems used for tracking compliance, driver pay, and customer billing.
• Acting as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick startup phase decisions.
• Training of new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Building out of process flow and providing guidance on consistency of operations.
