Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Startup Operations professional to lead new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and support ongoing Field Operations. You will train drivers and managers, write process documents, and contribute to system testing and design-level consulting.

Travel will be heavy (75-80%) with assignments nationwide. You will coordinate startup activities, ensure compliance and billing understanding, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver flawless execution and

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in supply chain or logistics.
• 1+ year of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
• Logistics industry knowledge advanced required.
• Knowledge and understanding of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations. advanced required.
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components. intermediate required.
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production advanced required.

Responsibilities

• Startup team focused on flawless execution and adherence to customer critical success factors.
• Ensure drivers and managers understand core operations and systems for tracking compliance, driver pay, and customer billing.
• Act as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick decisions during startup phase.
• Train new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Build out process flow and provide guidance on consistency of operations.
