Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Startup Operations Lead to drive the setup and ongoing support of new Dedicated Transportation Solutions. Travel is extensive (75–80%), with assignments nationwide and time-limited postings.

You will train management and driver trainer teams, build process flows, and ensure flawless startup execution while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• Two+ years in supply chain, logistics, or related field.
• One+ year of direct supervisory/leadership experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) required; advanced.
• Logistics industry knowledge highly valued; regulatory understanding beneficial.
• Foundational knowledge of Supply Chain Management components and processes.
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead startup activities for new dedicated transportation solutions with focus on flawless execution.
• Ensure drivers and managers understand core operations, systems, and compliance.
• Act as a management proxy to answer questions and make quick startup decisions.
• Train new management and Certified Driver Trainer groups.
• Develop and refine process flows and ensure consistent operations.
