Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Startup Operations specialist for SET Ops to lead new dedicated transportation solutions startups and provide ongoing field support.

The role requires extensive travel (75-80%), training drivers and managers, writing process documents, testing systems, and offering design-level consulting for new product pieces. Minimum requirements include a HS diploma or GED, a Bachelor's in Business/Logistics preferred, 2+ years in supply chain or logistics, and 1+ year supervisory

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
• Two+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• One+ year of direct supervisory/leadership experience.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Advanced knowledge of the logistics industry.
• Advanced knowledge of local and Federal regulations.
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components.
• Advanced knowledge of Manufacturing and Production.

Responsibilities

• Flawless execution and adherence to customer critical success factors.
• Ensure drivers and managers understand core operations and systems for tracking compliance, driver pay, and customer billing.
• Act as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick decisions during the startup phase.
• Train new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Build out process flow and provide guidance on consistency of operations.
