Axon 911's Carbyne Voice team is building the cloud-based infrastructure that handles emergency calls, ensuring reliability for PSAPs nationwide. As a Staff UC Software Engineer, you will design and maintain the call-handling engine, influencing the platform's evolution while preserving uptime in a life-critical system.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in VoIP/UC systems.
• Strong cloud experience, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with FreeSWITCH or Kamailio.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-based voice infrastructure handling SIP routing.
• Build and maintain integrations with telephony providers, PSAPs, and partners.
• Drive major features and architectural evolution of the voice platform.
• Collaborate with operations, networking, and engineering teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations for production voice infrastructure.
