Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience with production-grade distributed systems.
• Direct FCM or derivatives experience with ownership of parts of the futures lifecycle.
• Proficiency in a modern backend language (Go preferred; Java or similar).
• Experience in regulated/financial environments where auditability is critical.
• Track record delivering end-to-end architecture, replatforming, and modernization.

Responsibilities

• Own design and architecture across the FCM core, from market data to settlement and risk.
• Drive the next-gen replatforming and reduce vendor dependencies while increasing stability.
• Set technical bar through code reviews, standards, and debt reduction.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk, Ops, Finance, and Compliance to deliver auditable systems.
• Mentor engineers and raise code quality and architectural rigor.
