Under the direction of the Chief, DES Administration, the incumbent supervises the Contract Management Support Branch. Responsibilities include developing and processing contract requests and amendments (Form 360), coordinating with contract managers, analyzing procurement processes, managing IT and Non-IT contracts budgets, reviewing contract packages for policy compliance, and managing contract databases.
Eligibility may depend on your score on the Staff Services Manager I exam. Candidates must be on the state examination list unless they have current eligibility through transfer, reinstatement, or voluntary demotion. To apply for the exam, search by classification title on the CalCareers website.
