Job summary

Compass is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their Transaction Journey organization. You will lead the design and development of a collaborative transaction management platform used by real estate agents to streamline forms, eSign, compliance reviews, and commissions processing.

You’ll drive scalable, well-tested frontend systems using Typescript, React, NodeJS, and AWS. You will mentor engineers, promote best practices, and collaborate with product and design teams to deliver solutions that

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience developing comprehensive, well-tested, high-performance software applications in Typescript, Javascript, and HTML/CSS.
• 5+ years of experience with React and NodeJS.
• 3+ years of experience using AWS / cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and ownership of platform architecture, data ingestion and normalization, to deliver an industry leading search experience at scale.
• Independently define and lead the delivery of complex technical projects across the entire stack.
• Champion a culture of operational excellence by defining reliability KPIs and improving service health.
