Job summary

Compass is seeking a Software Engineer II in the Transaction Journey org. You will build frontend features for forms and eSign, deliver end-to-end components, and collaborate with product and design teams to serve real estate agents across the transaction lifecycle.

You should bring 2–4 years of experience with TypeScript/JavaScript/HTML/CSS, React and NodeJS, and a strong eye for design. The role emphasizes testing, reliability, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-4 years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.
• 2+ years of experience with React and NodeJS.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with Cypress and Jest for testing.
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop core Frontend components for Forms and eSign products using React.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code with tests and low technical debt.
• Improve operational metrics, monitoring, and on-call reliability.
• Deliver features end-to-end, coordinating with senior engineers on complex designs.
• Serve as SME for internal components or tools and collaborate in Agile workflows.
