Job summary

Compass is seeking a Software Engineer II to help build the Transaction Journey platform, focusing on frontend components across Forms and eSign. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, high-quality features that streamline real estate transactions for agents and clients.

You will contribute to design decisions, write robust tests with Cypress and Jest, and help ensure reliability and performance of critical workflows.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-4 years of software engineering experience developing well-tested, high-performance applications.
• 2+ years of experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.
• 2+ years of experience with React and NodeJS.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and trade-offs.
• Attention to design and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop frontend components and UI for Forms and eSign products using React.
• Write high-quality, maintainable tests to prevent regressions.
• Improve operational metrics and reliability of the platform.
• Deliver features end-to-end, collaborating with seniors on complex designs.
• Become SME for internal components and tools.
• Participate in Agile code reviews, planning, and design discussions.
