Compass is seeking a Software Engineer II to advance the Transaction Journey frontend, focusing on forms and eSign products. You will build reusable components, write robust tests, and collaborate with product and design teams to deliver scalable transaction tooling.

You should have 2–4 years of experience with Typescript, React, and NodeJS, and a strong eye for design and usability. This role is based in Boston with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-4 years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of Typescript, Javascript, and HTML/CSS.
• 2+ years of React and NodeJS experience.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and trade-offs.
• Attention to detail and user-focused design.
• Experience with Cypress/Jest testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop core Frontend components for Forms and eSign products using React.
• Write high-quality, maintainable tests to prevent regressions.
• Improve operational metrics and monitoring for reliability and stability.
• Deliver end-to-end features with secure, testable code.
• Serve as a SME for internal components/tools.
• Collaborate in Agile code reviews, planning and design discussions.
