Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer to design and deploy AI-powered data solutions across multiple teams. You will architect systems, prototype rapidly, and deliver production-grade code while ensuring security and scalability.

You will lead cross-functional efforts, mentor engineers, and define technical standards across engagements. You will work with AI coding assistants and build custom plugins, redesign data pipelines, and deploy agents to production.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of software engineering experience with embedded delivery roles.
• Strong software architecture background able to design and defend systems across varied tools.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants as primary development workflow; building custom plugins/skills is a plus.
• Experience deploying AI agents on AWS Bedrock AgentCore is required.
• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) server/client implementation is required.
• Data engineering experience building and redesigning data pipelines and flows across sources.
• Full-stack development proficiency — backend, APIs, and front-end dashboards.
• Mentoring engineers and defining technical standards beyond your own work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution design for cross-functional data and AI problems from discovery to blueprint.
• Select tools and architectures suitable for diverse teams and data sources.
• Communicate architecture decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Design scalable systems balancing speed with enterprise standards for reliability and security.
• Create architecture docs, data flow maps, API contracts, and solution briefs.
• Develop reusable architecture patterns adopted across engagements.
