Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to design and deliver AI-enabled solutions on-site in San Francisco, CA and Chicago, IL. You will prototype rapidly, architect scalable systems, and engineer agents that automate complex business workflows.

You will work with AWS Agent Core, MCP, and frameworks like LangChain and Semantic Kernel, while collaborating with product teams to ensure secure, enterprise-grade implementations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience including solution design and architecture ownership.
• Experience building AI agents, with defined agent skills, tool use, memory, and multi-step reasoning.
• Direct experience with AWS Agent Core or equivalent — building, deploying, and operating agents in production.
• Hands-on knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and integrating agents with external systems.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one frontend framework (React, Vue.js, or Angular).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD (Docker/Kubernetes/GitHub Actions).
• Strong communication and ability to work across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution design for cross-functional data and AI problems from discovery to blueprint.
• Deliver working prototypes within days to weeks with production-grade standards.
• Develop AI agents and multi-agent systems that automate complex workflows end-to-end.
• Create and maintain agent skills, MCP integrations, and evaluation guardrails.
• Collaborate with product, program, and engineering teams and mentor junior engineers.
