Job summary

KIOXIA America, Inc. is seeking a Customer Qualification Engineer to support customer qualifications for datacenter SSD products. You will assist with test plan development, failure analysis, and status reporting, coordinating with Product Support Engineering and ensuring qualification readiness.

This role may include job rotation and requires strong scripting, OS proficiency, and excellent English communication to drive qualification efforts across multiple customers.

Qualifications

• BS degree in computer engineering or equivalent field with 7+ years hands-on technical experience.
• Advanced understanding of computer system architecture fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with SSDs or related storage devices
• Platform-level troubleshooting skills to include run/break/fix capabilities and issue isolation
• Experience with Windows and Linux server operating systems
• Experience with Python/PowerShell/Bash scripting languages for both individual use and cross-team use
• Familiar with data manipulation/analysis (spreadsheets or more advanced tools)
• Experience with technical communication through bug tracking tools with attention to detail
• Good verbal and written English communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage complex qualification infrastructure from multiple customers
• Plan and drive execution of customer qualifications according to schedule
• Perform failure triage on any issues found during the qualification
• Work with the respective Product Support Engineer to ensure alignment of tasks
• Drive issues to resolution in a timely manner
• Write test status reports on a regular basis
• Use bug tracking system for filing and managing issues
