Job summary

RethinkFirst, a leader in behavioral health technology, seeks a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. The role reports to the Controller and is pivotal for the month-end close, reconciliations, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting.

Responsibilities include daily accounting tasks, resolving discrepancies, supporting audits, and ensuring timely management reviews. Remote-first workplace with nationwide reach and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP)

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
