Job summary

RethinkFirst is a market leader in behavioral and mental health technology, seeking a Staff Accountant to join the accounting and finance team. This remote-friendly role reports to the Controller and supports month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls.

The position requires a 2–3 year accounting background, an undergraduate degree in accounting/finance, and strong Excel with Sage Intacct experience. Excellent communication and independent work are valued.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel with pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards
