Job summary

RethinkFirst, a leader in behavioral health technology, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. This role reports to the Controller and is a key part of our core financial operations.

The position involves day-to-day accounting, bank reconciliations, month-end close support, and ensuring GAAP compliance. A remote-first workplace with flexibility and nationwide reach is offered, with a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required/preferred.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards
