Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This will be a key role in our accounting function.

Responsibilities include bank reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, supporting month-end close, and aiding external auditors. We value GAAP compliance and strong Excel skills; a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 2–3 years of experience is preferred. Remote-friendly with opportunities across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting/Finance.
• 2–3 years accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
