Job summary

RethinkFirst is hiring a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. The role performs day-to-day accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations, and supports month-end close and audits.

You will investigate discrepancies, ensure GAAP compliance, and help prepare timely financial reports. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of accounting experience and an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, plus advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance with 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP to support reporting and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
