Job summary

RethinkFirst, a leader in behavioral health technology, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. Reporting to the Controller, this role executes day-to-day accounting tasks and supports the monthly close, GAAP compliance, and financial reporting for a remote-first organization with national reach.

Ideal candidates bring a 2–3 year accounting background, a preferred bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, and advanced Excel skills to analyze data, balance sheets, and

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards
