Job summary

RethinkFirst, a leader in behavioral health technology, seeks a Staff Accountant to join the accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This role will handle day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations and quarterly close processes.

The ideal candidate has an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance and 2–3 years of relevant experience, with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Remote opportunities are available for eligible US states.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
