Job summary

Akumin in the United States seeks a Staff Accountant – Accounting and Financial Reporting to support the monthly and quarterly close, prepare financial statements, footnotes, journal entries, and account reconciliations. You will contribute to the accuracy and timeliness of the reports.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 2–3 years of related work, and strong Excel skills; CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of related experience and/or training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and investor reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packet for internal reporting.
• Prepares and posts monthly journal entries to record financial transactions to the general ledger.
• Review general ledger accounts for propriety, investigate discrepancies, and prepare correcting entries.
• Assist with daily cash management and treasury reporting.
• Assist in the annual financial audits.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

CPA license (preferred)
