Job summary

Akumin is hiring a Staff Accountant – Accounting and Financial Reporting. You will support monthly and quarterly financial reporting and the month-end close, prepare journal entries, and assist in audits.

The role involves reviewing balance sheets, reconciling accounts, and contributing to accurate investor reporting. The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 2–3 years in accounting, and CPA credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of related experience and/or training.
• CPA license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting and month-end close processes.
• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, MD&A and investor reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packets for internal reporting.
• Prepare journal entries to record financial transactions to the general ledger.
• Review general ledger accounts for propriety, investigate discrepancies and prepare adjustments.
• Assist daily cash management and treasury reporting.
• Assist with annual financial audits.
