Akumin is seeking a Staff Accountant – Accounting and Financial Reporting in South Carolina to support monthly and quarterly financial close, prepare financial statements and footnotes, and ensure accurate journal entries and reconciliations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years of related experience, with strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables and V-Lookups) and an eye for detail. CPA is preferred but not required, offering a collaborative team environment and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of related experience and/or training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and other Excel capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, MD&A and investor reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packet for internal reporting.
• Prepares and posts monthly journal entries and adjusts entries to record financial transactions to the general ledger.
• Review general ledger accounts for propriety; investigate discrepancies and prepare correcting journal entries.
• Assist with daily cash management and treasury reporting
• Assists in annual financial audits.
