Job summary

Akumin is a leading provider of outpatient radiology and oncology services nationwide. The Staff Accountant – Accounting and Financial Reporting supports monthly and quarterly close by preparing financial statements, footnotes and journal entries.

This role emphasizes accuracy and timely reporting, with duties spanning account reconciliations, audit assistance, and daily cash management. Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years of experience are required, with a CPA preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, MD&A and investor reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packet for internal reporting.
• Post monthly standard and adjusting journal entries and record transactions to the general ledger.
• Review GL accounts for propriety and reconcile discrepancies; prepare correcting entries as needed.
• Assist with daily cash management and treasury reporting.
• Assist in annual financial audits.
