Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to design and build backend services and APIs supporting fraud detection and compliance in a highly regulated finance space. This remote role partners with security, data science, and engineering teams to enhance reliability, performance, and engineering standards.

You will mentor engineers, shape testing practices, and drive CI/CD improvements while delivering scalable risk-management solutions across the platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership role focusing on .NET and C#.
• Proficiency in Azure cloud-native technologies and experience with Azure migration.
• Strong understanding of queuing mechanisms, multithreading, and distributed computing.

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. In this role, you will design and build backend services and APIs that support fraud detection and compliance initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional partners across security, data science, and engineering to improve platform performance, reliability, and technical delivery. This position also offers the opportunity to shape engineering standards, strengthen automated testing practices, and mentor other team members in a highly regulated environment.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $121,400 – $173,300 annually

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop backend services and APIs for fraud detection and compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize risk tool performance
• Lead initiatives to improve incident management and root cause analysis
• Implement intelligent testing frameworks for automated test case generation

Qualifications
