Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive technology and engineering experience preferred.

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will help shape enterprise-scale software capabilities that support secure, resilient business operations in a highly regulated environment. The Principal Software Engineer will lead the development of reusable patterns, modern engineering practices, and scalable platforms that improve quality and consistency across the organization. You will partner closely with technology and risk stakeholders to strengthen delivery, automation, and measurable outcomes across complex initiatives.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $199,000 – $274,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Build and mature the engineering capability for enterprise-scale products
• Establish an engineering culture focused on quality, automation, and measurable outcomes
• Develop a high-performing engineering organization to tackle complex technology and risk challenges
• Create reusable engineering patterns to enable scalability beyond individual solutions
• Lead engineering delivery for a unified system of controls, ensuring enterprise-grade technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred
• 12+ years of progressive technology and engineering experience preferred
• Significant experience leading enterprise-scale software or engineering capabilities
• Demonstrated experience building or transforming engineering teams and practices
• Experience delivering secure, enterprise-scale applications or platforms
