Ladders is seeking a Principal Platform/Software Engineer to shape scalable software platforms with a focus on cloud infrastructure, AI capabilities, and engineering excellence. Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in leadership.
• Deep expertise in AWS cloud services and DevOps, including CI/CD and automation.
• Proven experience deploying agentic AI models and managing production AI systems.
• Strong full-stack development across frontend, backend, APIs, and integrations.
• Strong architecture knowledge: scalability, security, and non-functional requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving in distributed systems; able to mentor teams.

This role will shape the design and delivery of scalable software platforms with a strong emphasis on cloud infrastructure, AI-driven capabilities, and engineering excellence. You will partner closely with technical leaders and business stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, high-performing solutions that support complex operational needs. The position also calls for hands‑on leadership, mentoring senior engineers, and helping drive modern development practices across the team. With a remote‑first setup, this opportunity is ideal for an engineer who thrives at the intersection of architecture, execution, and technical influence.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually
