Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology (or related field)
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days
• Complete required continuing education regarding care of acute stroke patients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients of all ages, collecting case histories from patients and families.
• Conducts speech-language pathology assessments and uses appropriate materials for prevention and intervention.
• Develops and implements a care plan with measurable goals and collaborates with patients and relevant others.
• Interprets information to develop treatment plans and recommendations for intervention.
