Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete continuing education relevant to acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Collects case history information and integrates information from patients, family, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals.
• Conducts assessment procedures for speech and language pathology and selects appropriate materials.
• Develops and implements a plan of care with measurable goals with patient involvement.
• Interprets and synthesizes information to develop a treatment plan and recommendations.
