Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide pediatric speech therapy services in patients’ homes or our daytime facility.

The role requires Texas SLPA licensure, pediatrics experience, and at least 6 months of full-time clinical work. Home health experience and bilingual abilities are preferred and supported with supervision and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bilingual is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides services in patient homes or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervision visits with supervising SLP according to Texas guidelines
• Collaborates with disciplines to plan and address patient goals
• Plans care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Keeps knowledge up-to-date by education and professional activities
• Enhances therapy reputation by ownership of new requests and value addition

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility


• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines


• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient


• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions


• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.


• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
