NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to serve pediatric clients in home health settings in Texas. This role emphasizes individualized care, collaboration with clinicians, and adherence to physician orders.

Responsibilities include delivering interventions in patients’ homes or daytime facilities, coordinating weekly supervision with a supervising SLP, and ongoing professional development to enhance outcomes for young patients in a supportive

Qualifications

• Current Texas SLPA licensure.
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience.
• Home Health experience preferred.
• Bilingual is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
