Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed SLPA to provide pediatric speech therapy services across home and clinic settings in Texas. You will work under physician orders, delivering care to patients in their homes or daytime facilities and coordinating with a supervising SLP.

The role requires current Texas SLPA licensure, at least 6 months of full-time clinical experience, and pediatrics familiarity.

Qualifications

• Texas SLPA licensure currently in good standing.
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience required.
• Experience with pediatrics is essential.
• Home health experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services in accordance with physician orders.
• Delivers therapy in the patient’s home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visits with the supervising SLP per Texas rules.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address patient goals.
• Prepares care plans to meet speech therapy objectives.
• Keeps current on knowledge through education and professional activities.
• Assumes ownership to enhance service quality and value.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders


• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility


• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines


• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient


• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions


• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.


• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
