Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Irving, TX, is seeking a licensed SLPA to deliver pediatric speech-language pathology services in patients' homes or daytime facilities. You will follow physician orders, collaborate with the care team, and schedule supervision with a supervising SLP per Texas board guidelines.

The role requires current Texas SLPA licensure, at least 6 months of full-time clinical experience, pediatrics experience, and bilingual Spanish proficiency.

Qualifications

• Current Texas SLPA licensure.
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience.
• Home Health experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
