Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to provide pediatric speech therapy in patients' homes or daytime facilities. You will work under a supervising SLP, schedule weekly supervision, and collaborate with the care team to meet individualized goals.

Required are Texas SLPA licensure, pediatric experience, and Spanish bilingual proficiency. Home health experience is preferred, with full-time availability. Participation in benefits is included.

Qualifications

• Current Texas SLPA licensure
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience
• Pediatrics experience
• Home Health experience preferred
• Bilingual Spanish is required

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions per physician orders
• Deliver services in patients' homes or daytime facility
• Schedule weekly supervision visits with supervising SLP per Texas board guidelines
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and address patient goals
• Plan care to meet speech therapy intervention goals
• Maintain knowledge by reading, training, and participating in professional organizations

Requirements:

• Current Texas SLPA licensure
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience
• Pediatrics experience
• Home Health experience preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish) is required

Responsibilities:

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
