Job summary

Kidde Global Solutions is seeking a Business Development Specialist - Specification Sales to build strong partnerships with electrical engineers, fire protection consultants, designers, and contractors. You will drive specification writing for Kidde Commercial fire alarm systems on new and retrofit projects.

This remote role requires deep product knowledge, field-based engagement, and frequent travel to advance the brand within the Southeast region and beyond.Competitive benefits and performance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Approximately 5+ years of sales experience in the fire alarm, low-voltage, or life-safety systems industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Full understanding of IBC, NEC, NFPA, and general fire alarm codes.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering workflows and construction processes.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable with field-based work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with engineering and construction partners.
• Target non-specified projects with GCs and ECs to influence product preference.
• Promote Kidde Commercial fire alarm products and technologies.
• Influence project specifications to include Kidde Commercial systems.
• Provide technical guidance during design phases.
• Identify upcoming projects early in the design cycle.
• Collaborate with internal sales and distribution teams.
• Represent Kidde Commercial at industry events.
