Job summary

Kidde Global Solutions is seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive specification sales for Kidde Commercial fire alarm systems in the Southeast US. You will build relationships with electrical engineers, design firms, GCs, and ECs to get our solutions written into project specs and preferred on bids.

In this remote role, expect frequent travel (up to 75%), hands-on product demos, code-driven discussions, and collaboration with internal teams to move opportunities from inquiry to quote.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales experience in fire alarm, low‑voltage, or life‑safety systems.
• Strong knowledge of IBC, NEC, NFPA and fire codes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with engineering and construction partners.
• Target non‑specified projects with GCs and ECs and influence specifications.
• Promote Kidde Commercial fire alarm products and technologies through demos and events.
• Influence project specifications by working with engineers and specifiers.
• Provide technical guidance during design phases and connect teams with dealers.
• Travel up to 75% within the assigned region.
