Job summary

Kidde Global Solutions is seeking a Business Development Specialist – Specification Sales to build consultative relationships with electrical engineers, fire protection consultants, design teams, GCs, and ECs to ensure Kidde Commercial fire alarm systems are specified in projects.

This remote US – Southeast region role blends technical expertise with strategic outreach, requiring up to 75% travel to engage partners early in design cycles and to promote Kidde products across new and retrofit

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of sales experience in fire alarm, low-voltage, or life-safety systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• NICET Level II preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with engineering and construction partners.
• Target non-specified projects with GCs and ECs and influence product preference.
• Promote Kidde Commercial fire alarm products through demonstrations, lunch‑and‑learns, and code discussions.
• Influence project specifications by collaborating with engineers and specifiers.
• Provide technical guidance during design phases and connect teams with qualified dealers.
• Act as a strategic connector between engineering firms, ECs, and GCs to align outcomes.
• Identify upcoming projects early in the design cycle and monitor bid platforms.
• Collaborate with internal sales and distribution teams to ensure seamless handoff to quoting and fulfillment.
• Represent Kidde Commercial at industry events to expand brand visibility.
