Kidde Global Solutions is hiring a Business Development Specialist – Specification Sales to build strong relationships with electrical engineers, fire protection consultants, design firms, GCs, and ECs. You will help ensure Kidde Commercial fire alarm systems are specified in projects and preferred on non‑specified work.

The role blends technical insight with strategic outreach to position Kidde as the go‑to fire alarm solution across project types.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of sales experience in the fire alarm, low‑voltage, or life‑safety systems industry.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Strong knowledge of IBC, NEC, NFPA and general fire alarm codes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with engineering and construction partners.
• Target non‑specified projects with GCs and ECs.
• Promote Kidde Commercial fire alarm products and technologies.
• Influence project specifications to include Kidde Commercial systems.
• Provide technical guidance during design phases (not layouts).
• Act as a strategic connector among engineers, ECs, and GCs.
• Identify upcoming projects early in the design cycle.
• Collaborate with internal sales and distribution teams.
• Represent Kidde Commercial at industry events.
• Travel ~75% within the assigned region.
