Job summary

Kidde Global Solutions is seeking a Business Development Specialist – Specification Sales to build strong, consultative relationships with electrical engineers, fire protection consultants, design firms, GCs, and ECs. You will ensure Kidde Commercial fire alarm systems are specified and preferred on projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of sales experience in the fire alarm, low‑voltage, or life‑safety systems industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; NICET II certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with engineering and construction partners.
• Target non‑specified projects with GCs and ECs to influence specifications.
• Promote Kidde Commercial fire alarm products and technologies with demonstrations and discussions.
• Influence project specifications to include Kidde Commercial systems.
• Provide technical guidance during design phases and connect teams with dealers.
• Act as a strategic connector between engineering firms, ECs, and GCs.
• Identify upcoming projects early in the design cycle.
• Collaborate with internal sales and distribution for handoffs to quoting and fulfillment.
• Represent Kidde Commercial at industry events to expand brand visibility.
