Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. is seeking a Territory Sales Manager – Specialty for the Chattanooga/Knoxville, TN area. The role focuses on delivering sales objectives, expanding market share, and representing SMPA with healthcare providers.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing with pharmaceutical sales experience, a proven top-quartile track record, and willingness to travel 60–80% of the time. Strong clinical knowledge and strategic account management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related area with two or more years of relevant pharmaceutical sales experience.
• Proven track record of top-ranked sales performance (ideally top 25% nationally).
• Experience working within Urology.
• Experience with pharmaceutical launch.
• Knowledge of market access formulary positioning, including pull-through and push-through.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed sales objectives and grow market share.
• Establish deep business relationships with customers using clinical and market knowledge.
• Close new business in new and existing accounts based on market potential.
• Support sales results with clinical expertise and compliant practices.
• Analyze product/competitor trends and market dynamics.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively.
• Travel throughout the territory; overnight stays may be required, including weekends.
