Job summary

Valley Medical Center & Clinics is seeking a Specialty Services Coordinator to schedule and coordinate services for patients across hospital-based and clinic networks. The role includes pre-registration, insurance verification, estimate creation, and collecting payments over the phone.

MyChart requests and in-person check-ins are supported as needed. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of front office experience in healthcare, strong communication skills, and proficiency with EMR

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year front office experience in a physician office or hospital access department; scheduling, registering, using multi-line phone systems, EMR systems, and working with several software programs at the same time.
• Computer experience in a Windows-based environment.
• Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and listening.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations; preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate services for patients across multiple hospital-based specialty services and clinic networks.
• Handle pre-registration, insurance verification, and patient estimates; collect payments by phone when needed.
• Assist with MyChart requests and in-person check-ins as a backup.
• Utilize EPIC and other systems to ensure complete and accurate scheduling and referrals.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism with patients and staff.
