Valley-Family-Health-Care is seeking a Patient Service Representative to support patient check-in, scheduling, billing and insurance verifications. The role emphasizes friendly customer service and accurate data handling in a clinic setting.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, collecting payments, verifying insurance, and coordinating with the Practice Manager to ensure smooth operations. This on-site position requires strong communication and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Healthcare/medical office experience preferred; EHR experience a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and friendly customer service focus.
• Proficient computer skills with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; Spanish may be required in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients according to established protocols.
• Assist patients with forms and insurance information.
• Verify data accuracy in registration and billing.
• Inform patients about office procedures and any delays.
• Schedule appointments and manage reminders.
• Handle incoming calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Collect co-pays and payments at the point of service.
• Enroll patients in sliding fee scale as applicable.
• Enter charges, payments and adjustments daily.
• Maintain reception area and office supplies.
• Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Support VFHC initiatives and complete other duties as assigned.
