The ideal candidate will handle estimates, collections, and in-person scheduling while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required for entry.
• Minimum one year front office experience in a physician office or hospital access department; scheduling and registration duties.
• Experience with multi-line phones, EMR systems and multiple software programs concurrently.
• Basic keyboarding skills (approximately 35 wpm) and strong communication abilities.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and customer service finesse highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound scheduling and pre-registration for hospital and clinic services.
• Verify insurance, perform patient check-in and registration, and generate estimates.
• Collect payments per POS guidelines and ensure patient financial clearance before service.
• Complete MyChart-related scheduling requests and process direct scheduled appointments.
• Navigate EPIC and related queues to maintain accurate patient records and throughput.
• Deliver Excellent customer service and provide first-call resolution when possible.
